Remember that if you are taking something from a living plant and not scavenging from the bottom of the forest floor, you will want to ask permission from the plant. You never want to take everything when you are harvesting and will always want to leave enough to germinate. When it comes to trees, you will want to prune carefully and most clippings are better to be taken during the winter. To thank a plant for their sacrifice, you can provide sugar water to the roots.

Also, remember that if you are using your tree for something like wand magick, you will want to wait at least a year to dress/decorate your wand. It is important that you allow your tree to dry and not try to use it when it is green as it will shrink as it looses its moisture over time.

Until next time witches and may the brew in your cauldron never burn and your broom never splinter.
